The goal would be to isolate the most important texts Dewey wrote on reflection and those other texts written about Dewey. Using Dewey as the center, this study would offer a representation and interpretation of Dewey's views and enter into a dialectic with the chorus of other views on his ideas. |
Assessment |
This reminds me of the Historical type of inquiry, but it is more focused. I don't know that I am interested in focusing this much time and attention on Dewey, though I know it would be rewarding.
WGRA?—pretty intellectual pursuit, not much interest from practitioners |
Permutations |
A similar type of Critical inquiry could be done focusing in Donald Schon or on Kathleen Blake Yancey. Yancey might be interesting to do, but I don't know how much that is substantial has been written about her work, so not much range for dialectic. |
