Conclusion and Final Design
Conclusion and Final Design
My final design was overall an average one. I eventually got a 79 on the lab because it had to go all the way up to 25 meters to get a 100.
Things I would recommend: Use large back wheels like records, have a long lever handle, use only one back wheel because if there are two they move from side to side and slow it down, use balloons to secure the wheel to the axle since this worked perfectly for me, and use the picture hanging hooks to hold the axles.
Things I would NOT recommend: Procrastinating; this project took me over five hours and I still got a C!, using balsa wood; it breaks very easily and is hard to cut; and finally do not paint your car’s axles! I found out the hard way that this greatly decreases the distance travelled because it increases the friction between the axle and the picture hangers.
