Book Project : Part B (BP-B)

Task: Book Project--Part B (Writing Pieces #4-6)

Continue working on the Book Project, completing pieces #4, #5, and #6.  See handout on the Book Project for more details.  All pieces are turned in as messages within your group's Discussion Forum inside Canvas.

Reading--You will need to review and think about the pieces #1, 2, and 3 from the members of your group.  Read these messages first before you compose your pieces. 

Peer Responding-- You are expected to do FIVE peer response pieces of your peers #4-6 pieces.  Do five total and only five. You choose who and which five writing pieces #4-6 you will respond to. Simply hit REPLY to do your peer response.

Please follow the peer response questions at the end of The Book Project. See instructions below for posting and replying to writing pieces. 

The response questions for each particular Writing Piece are at the end of the Book Project handout.  Don’t feel you have to retype the questions, but please do follow them.  Just label the questions as 1. or 2. or 3.

As you reply to your peer's writing, please follow these guides:

1--Respond in the spirit of helpfulness and respect.
2--Follow the peer response questions (found in the Book Project handout) as you respond.
3--The best response are ones that are observational--they point directly to the writing in a specific way and observe something without making a judgment.  Share observations of your own responses and reactions to the writing too. 
4--You need not respond in the role of the teacher or fixer of their writing.  Respond as a fellow writer and as a reader.

I urge you to post your writing pieces as you compose them (rather than waiting until you have all three done to post) so others can do peer responses on them.

Special Note on Due date for Peer Responding: It will be OK to finish your peer responding within two days after BP-part B is due.

How to Turn in Work for BP-B Writing Pieces 4-6.

You will post your Writing Pieces #4,5, and 6 as separate messages inside your group's Discussion Forum.. Please be sure to copy and paste the text into a new message for each Writing Piece and provide a subject that identifies what number writing piece it is.

Other Matters:

Journals—We haven't started these yet, but I just want to give you a heads up that we will be starting after we turn in the Book Project.
